Installing Nginx and virtual hosts

Nginx is a fast, light web server that handles thousands of concurrent connections.

Install

sudo apt update && sudo apt install nginx -y
sudo systemctl enable --now nginx

Server block

server {
  listen 80;
  server_name example.ge www.example.ge;
  root /var/www/example/public;
  index index.php index.html;
}

Enable it

sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/example /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/
sudo nginx -t && sudo systemctl reload nginx

SSL

sudo certbot --nginx -d example.ge -d www.example.ge
