Done in the right order, a migration is invisible to visitors.
1. Take a copy
Download wp-content and a database dump from the old host.
2. Upload
Upload the files and import the database on the new server. Update wp-config.php.
3. Test with a hosts entry
Check the site through a local hosts entry before touching DNS.
185.20.30.40 example.ge www.example.ge4. Switch DNS
Once everything works, change the A record. Lower the TTL to 300 beforehand.
✅ Keep the old hosting for 7 more days — DNS may still be routing there.
