When checks are needed
Astronaut may verify contact details, account ownership or order authority to prevent fraud or meet domain/legal requirements. This does not mean every customer automatically needs to submit identity documents. Checks must be risk-based, necessary and proportionate.
Secure submission and review
If a document is necessary, its purpose, required fields, secure submission route and retention period must be explained first. Do not upload documents to public chat or unapproved links. Alternative evidence and human review may be requested. The actual document-handling workflow must be verified before this policy is approved.
